Luis Medina

Medina spent the entire 2025 season recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent in August of 2024. He was cleared to face hitters in the batting cage in late September and is expected to be available for the start of training camp. However, Medina posted ERAs north of 5.00 in each of his two major-league seasons prior to his surgery, so there's no guarantee that he'll be on the Athletics' Opening Day roster in 2026. His last full season was in 2023, when he went 3-10 in 23 games (17 starts) with a 5.42 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 106:57 K:BB across 109.2 innings. Read Past Outlooks
