Chicago White Sox
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Cannon showed some promise during his first major-league season in 2024, especially toward the tail end of the year in which he posted a 3.77 ERA and 1.05 WHIP over 28.2 innings in his last five starts (3-1 record). He had some nice moments in 2025 until being shut down in June due to a back injury, and he wasn't quite the same upon his return later in the month. He shifted to a bulk-relief role after the All-Star break and gave up five earned runs in five of his last six appearances of the season. He ended the 2025 season with a 5.82 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 103.2 innings, and he ranked in the bottom 10 percent of qualified pitchers in xERA (5.37) and xBA (.271). Cannon will be battling for a spot on the White Sox's 26-man roster, and it's unclear whether he'll be part of the rotation or bullpen, which will somewhat depend on what the South Siders decide to do with Sean Newcomb.
