Megill made the Mets' Opening Day roster in 2025 and was a prominent figure in the rotation given the absences of Sean Manaea and Frankie Montas due to injury. Megill had some good moments, including two starts in which he struck out 10 batters, but he landed on the IL in June due to a right elbow sprain. He eventually underwent Tommy John surgery in September after suffering a setback during his rehab assignment, which will keep him sidelined for the entire 2026 campaign. Megill finished the 2025 season with a 5-5 record across 14 starts with a 3.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 89:33 K:BB across 68.1 innings. Read Past Outlooks
