Hendry Mendez

22-Year-Old OutfielderOF
Minnesota Twins AA
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Mendez is now in his third organization, as the former Brewers and Phillies farmhand was dealt to Minnesota at last year's deadline in the deal that sent Harrison Bader to Philadelphia. A bad defender even in left field, Mendez has always been a bit of a tweener, as he's a talented hitter but he may not make enough impact to offset his negative defensive value. A skinny 6-foot-3 lefty hitter, Mendez slashed .299/.399/.439 with 11 home runs, 10 steals, a 13.6 percent walk rate and a 13.2 percent strikeout rate in 118 games at Double-A split between the two organizations. He had an .891 OPS with a home run and more walks (three) than strikeouts (two) in five Arizona Fall League games to close the year. Mendez's bat will punch his ticket to the big leagues at some point in the next year or two, but the Twins have a lot of similarly skilled hitters, most of whom can offer a bit more defensive utility than Mendez.
