2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a breakout 2024-25 regular season, Jerome continued his strong production in the postseason, averaging 17.2 points, 5.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 24.2 minutes off the bench over the first five games. In Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Indiana, Jerome had to start in place of Darius Garland and finished with just two points (1-14 FG). Jerome totaled 17 points, three rebounds and two assists over Cleveland's final three playoff matchups. He opted to leave the Cavaliers in free agency, signing a three-year, $28 million deal with Memphis. The Grizzlies waived Marcus Smart, but they still have Scotty Pippen, who has excelled in spot start duties when Ja Morant has been sidelined in recent years. However, given the size of Jerome's contract, it's safe to assume he'll be the top guard off the bench. Jerome had a top-100 finish in eight-category leagues last year, but projecting him to replicate that production is risky. He appeared in 70 regular-season games in 2024-25 but didn't top 48 in any of his previous five campaigns. Jerome is expected to miss at least the first month of the season due to a calf injury. Dishes eight dimes vs. Minnesota
Jerome logged 19 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight assists, six rebounds and one steal over 20 minutes during the Grizzlies' 137-128 win over the Timberwolves on Monday.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies stuck to Jerome's 20-minute restriction while the seventh-year guard continues to work on his conditioning after missing 46 games due to a calf strain. Even in his limited playing time, Jerome was one of the more productive players on the court Monday, leading the Grizzlies in assists while finishing second in points behind Jaren Jackson (30). Jerome's fantasy ceiling will be naturally lower while operating on a minutes limit and will take a significant hit once Ja Morant (elbow) returns, but the former's efficiency makes him an intriguing waiver-wire addition where available.

Despite a couple of positive moments last season, Jerome ended well outside the top 300, partly thanks to a season-ending injury. While he should be ready to go on opening night, there is a decent chance he fails to crack the rotation consistently. At this stage, the Thunder have too many moving pieces to nail down a productive backcourt, meaning Jerome could very well be on the outside looking in when it comes to minutes.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Inching closer to season debut
Jerome, who's dealing with a calf injury, is expected to make his season debut in the near future, head coach Tuomas Iisalo told Damichael Cole of Memphis Commercial Appeal. "He's already progressed to five-on-five live, so we're very close. I think the evaluation is somewhere within one or two weeks... he still needs to build a little bit of load before the actual games, but he's doing great, he's progressing really well."
ANALYSIS
The timing of Jerome's potential debut couldn't be better for the Grizzlies, especially since Ja Morant, who's dealing with an elbow injury, could be traded before the Feb. 5 deadline. Jerome would provide a huge boost for the Grizzlies after a 2024-25 campaign in which he finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting. The floor general averaged 12.5 points and 3.4 assists in just 19.9 minutes per game last season.
