Smith struggled from the field in Purdue's rivalry loss to Indiana, needing 14 shots to score 14 points as the Boilermakers dropped their third straight. On Sunday in a get-right game against Maryland, however, he notched 19 points on 66.7 percent shooting from the floor, burying four triples in the process. He also got back on track as a facilitator, sporting an assist-to-turnover ratio of 6:1, as opposed to the Indiana game, when it was just 5:4.
