Sanders finished with 12 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and six assists in 27 minutes during Sunday's 87-61 win over TCU.
ANALYSIS
Sanders moved into the starting lineup for the first time this season and produced his best effort by contributing season highs in minutes (27), scoring (12) and assists (six). The 6-foot-5 freshman was one of three new starters for the Buffaloes as coach Tad Boyle decided to shuffle the lineup following a six-game losing streak. No new member of the lineup benefitted more than Sanders, who had reached double figures in scoring on just one other occasion. Considering his production and the successful result for Colorado, it would not be surprising if Sanders shift into a more prominent role continues moving forward.
