Dan Villari News: Big game in opener

Villari totaled five receptions (on seven targets) for 55 yards during Saturday's 45-26 loss versus Tennessee.

Villari ranked second on the team in targets, receptions and receiving yards Saturday. He nearly matched his 2024 totals, as he totaled six catches for 57 yards across eight games a season ago. Villari is the Orange's top tight end, replacing Oronde Gadsden, who went to the NFL after totaling 73 catches for 934 yards and seven touchdowns with Syracuse in 2024. Villari may not match Gadsden's numbers, but he'll have plenty of value as the top tight end in a fantasy-friendly offense.
