Emmett Johnson News: Leading rusher in opener

Johnson had 25 carries for 108 yards and caught 7 of 10 targets for 27 yards during Thursday's 20-17 victory versus Cincinnati.

Johnson had a solid day for the Cornhuskers, crossing the century mark on the ground while providing a safe target in the passing game. Though the 5-foot-11 running back didn't find the end zone against Cincinnati, he was a consistent force for the Nebraska offense throughout the day. His next chance will come against Akron on Saturday.
