Fernando Mendoza News: Scores on ground in opening win

Mendoza was 18-for-31 passing for 193 yards during Saturday's 27-14 win against Old Dominion. He also had six rushes for 33 yards with one touchdown.

Mendoza found the end zone on a five-yard scamper in the second quarter, giving the Hoosiers a 10-point lead at the time. Though he failed to account for a passing score on the day, his rushing production and lack of turnovers proved to be enough for the Indiana offense to get the win against Old Dominion. Mendoza will get his next opportunity to lead the Hoosiers against Kennesaw State on Saturday.
