Hank Beatty News: Leading receiver in blowout opener

Beatty caught all five targets for 108 yards during Friday's 52-3 victory against Western Illinois.

Beatty put together a productive day against Western Illinois, leading the way for the Fighting Illini in both receptions and yards in a blowout season opening win. Though he did not find the end zone, the 5-foot-11 receiver was clearly the go-to guy in the Illinois offense, outpacing the next closest Illinois receiver by over 80 yards on the day. Beatty will get a chance to follow up on his opening performance against Duke on Saturday.
