Jalen Smith News: Scores in opener

Smith hauled in 2 of 9 targets for 76 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 23-10 win over Buffalo.

Though Smith was highly inefficient on the day, catching just two of his nine targets, he managed to salvage his day with a 60-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Drake Lindsey in the fourth quarter. The volume is encouraging for the 6-foot-1 receiver, though his efficiency is definitely cause for concern. His next chance will come against FCS Northwestern State on Saturday.
