2025 Receiving Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Scudero is an under-the-radar name to keep an eye on in 2025. Making his debut in the FCS ranks, the 5-foot-9 Scudero is poised to take on a big role in a Spartans' offense that lost Nick Nash, who ranked second in the nation in both yards and receptions out of the slot last year, and Justin Lockhart. Scudero spent two seasons with Sacramento State, logging 53 receptions for 667 yards and five touchdowns in 2024. He'll join an offense, led by second-year coach Ken Niumatalolo and quarterback Walker Eget, that threw the ball on an NCAA-leading 64.4 percent of their plays last season. Scudero will look to distinguish himself amongst a largely unproven receiving room, joining a pair of FBS transfers in Leland Smith and Malachi Riley. While it's unlikely anyone in the room matches Nash's massive output from 2025, Scudero seems among the favorites to headline the production as the top receiver in the slot in 2025, though holdover Mathew Coleman is also expected to factor into the reps on the inside. Huge day in loss
Scudero gathered in 9 of 15 targets for 189 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 16-14 defeat to Central Michigan.
ANALYSIS
While it was a tough opener overall for the Spartans, Scudero's performance was certainly a silver lining. The 5-foot-9 wideout led the team in targets (no other player saw more than seven) and yards while logging a 45-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter. Scudero joined San Jose State in the offseason as a transfer from Sacramento State, where he logged 53 receptions for 667 yards and five touchdowns last season. The redshirt sophomore looks poised for a massive year as the primary receiver on a team that threw the ball 64.42 percent of the time on offense in 2024, the highest rate in the nation.
