They'll send out Cuban lefty Ariel Miranda to try to draw even closer in this one, who has a strong case to make as the league's best pitcher this season. Through seven starts, he sports a 2.66 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP and a 26.6 percent strikeout rate. He's had very few poor starts this season, though his last time out, which came last Sunday against the Guardians, certainly fits into that category, as he allowed six runs (four earned) in five innings. The Guardians' Henry Sosa outpitched him in that game and will look to do the same in this one. The Dominican righty was one of the best pitchers in the league last season, cruising to a 1.56 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP in 12 starts, but his 5.71 ERA and 1.53 WHIP this season tell a very different story.

Henry Sosa, Guardians: Sosa has undeniably been nowhere near Ariel Miranda's level this season, but the 6.5-credit gap between the pair makes betting on a bounceback performance from Sosa seem like a risk worth taking. His strong start his last time out, when he limited the Brothers to one run in seven innings of work, hints that he might finally be figuring things out after a rough start to the campaign.
Kao Kuo-Lin, Guardians: The right-handed Kao makes for an excellent captain choice in this one with the left-handed Miranda on the mound for the Brothers. He's hitting .329 with five homers this season while occupying a key role near the top of the Guardians' lineup.
Hu Chin-Lung, Guardians: Right-handed leadoff man Hu is a solid alternative captain choice. The veteran has gone 7-for-17 at the plate over his last four games, hitting two homers and scoring six runs.
Su Wei-Ta, Brothers: Su is a strong captain candidate for those who choose to build around Miranda and the Brothers. The first baseman has hit .343 this season, scoring 24 runs while driving in 22 more through 27 games.
