Headed to professional ranks
Tate announced Tuesday that he will forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility at Ohio State to enter the 2026 NFL Draft, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though often overshadowed by fellow standout receiver Jeremiah Smith, Tate was exceptional in his own right during his three-year career at Ohio State. A highly rated recruit from the Class of 2023, Tate wrapped up his junior season in Columbus with 51 catches for 875 yards and nine touchdowns on 65 targets over 12 games. He profiles as a likely first-round selection and could challenge USC's Makai Lemon as the first receiver off the board in the draft.

Mocked to Titans by Edholm
Eric Edholm of NFL.com projects the Titans will take Tate with the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
In his first mock of the year, Edholm sees the Titans continuing to stock the offensive cupboard for Cam Ward with Tate, whom Edholm lauds for his "good length, athleticism and ball-tracking ability." He adds that the Ohio State product's body control gives him the potential to eventually develop into a true No. 1 receiver while complementing the already impressive skill sets of current Titans wideouts Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike.
