Garrick Higgo

Garrick Higgo

26-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The 2025 campaign went about as well as Higgo could've hoped for, as he was relegated to the Korn Ferry Tour but got into an alternate event in Punta Cana and won to secure his card through 2027. On top of that, he finished in the top 10 in all four fall events he played in to guarantee himself a spot into at least the first two Signature Events next year. Higgo will be entering his fifth year on the PGA Tour at only 26-years-old, and his game is solid across the board. The main question mark is that his best finish across seven major appearances is T47 and whether or not he can elevate his game against elite competition in the Signature Events remains to be seen. Misses cut in 2026 debut
February 2, 2026
Higgo recorded a 36-hole score of three-over-par to miss the cut at last week's Farmers Insurance Open by six shots.
ANALYSIS
Higgo, who placed T7-2-T4-T4 from the Procore Championship to the WWT Championship during the FedExCup Fall, was unable to carry that momentum through his 2026 debut as he hit just nine of 28 fairways in regulation en route to eight total bogeys at Torrey Pines. The 26-year-old South African also lost three strokes putting throughout his lone round on the South Course. Nonetheless, Higgo plans to tee it up again this week at the WM Phoenix Open where he's notched one top-25 in three career appearances.

2022
Higgo will be entering his fourth season on Tour, making it easy to forget that he's just 24-years-old. While 2023 was mostly a struggle, four of his six top-25s came since July, showing that he found something in the summer. The South African lives by the 'drive for show, putt for dough' mantra, as those are the two things he does well. He's yet to show much with his iron play, however, losing over .1 strokes per round on approach. Without significant improvement in that area, it's hard to forecast a breakthrough season just yet.
Higgo only needed 22 events this past season to become fully exempt for next year. He missed over 60 percent of his cuts but relied on strong finishes at the Zurich Classic and Memorial Tournament to stay within the top 150. All things considered, the 23-year-old wasn’t playing particularly well to end the season, missing five of his last six cuts. Given his age however, there is still plenty of room to learn and grow. It will be important for Higgo and his confidence to get off to a decent start in the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old South African has played primarily on the European Tour and took advantage of a sponsor exemption to win in his second career PGA Tour start to guarantee himself status through the 2023-24 season. Since winning in June, he's missed 4-of-7 cuts with a best finish of T-41, so his consistency is still a question. Expect him to play full-time on the PGA Tour this season, with some ups-and-downs to his long hitting nature that can yields birdies in bunches but also plenty of bogeys.
