Blais was placed on waivers Tuesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Blais has already been claimed off waivers twice this season, once by Toronto and the other time by Montreal. He has generated three goals, eight points, 18 shots on net, 12 blocked shots and 78 hits in 21 games this campaign between the Canadiens and Maple Leafs.
