2025 Fantasy Outlook
Cirelli had his best season as a pro in 2024-25, as the 27-year-old notched a career-high 27 goals and 59 points and continued to flex his defensive prowess with a plus-30 rating. The end of the season was tough on Cirelli, who scored just two goals in the final 16 games, including the postseason. Brayden Point is entrenched as Tampa’s No. 1 center, so Cirelli won’t benefit from playing with guys like Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel. He should still see time on the second power play, but when fully healthy, the Lightning’s first unit is set, meaning that most of Cirelli’s production must come at five-on-five or shorthanded. While it seems like there’s another level to the offensive game for the two-way center, his expected role on the Lightning as a shutdown center in 2025-26 will likely keep him from maxing out his offensive potential. Unavailable for Olympics
Cirelli (undisclosed) won't be available for the 2026 Winter Olympics, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
After suffering an injury in Sunday's 6-5 shootout win over Boston, Cirelli will miss Tuesday's game against Buffalo and Thursday's matchup against Florida. It's unclear if he will be ready to return after the Olympic break. Sam Bennett (upper body) will replace Cirelli on Team Canada.

There isn't much mystery about what Cirelli might bring to the table in 2024-25. After all, he's recorded between 0.44 and 0.65 points per game in every campaign of his career, which translates to a range of roughly 36-53 points per 82 contests. Cirelli does have a bit of an injury history, which is an x-factor, but he finished with over 75 regular-season appearances in two of his past three campaigns. As such, it's not a staggering issue, and if you were to pencil him in for 40-45 points for the 2024-25 campaign, you'll probably finish the season satisfied with the results. The 27-year-old is unlikely to help you much in other categories, but he should at least give you more than 30 PIM, 100 shots and 60 hits. Cirelli will also probably finish with a positive plus/minus rating as a member of the capable Lightning.

ANALYSIS
Cirelli has until Feb. 12 to get back to 100 percent to face Czechia with Team Canada. In his last six outings, the 28-year-old center has generated three goals and four assists, including one power-play point. The Canadians won't lack options if they need to replace Cirelli in the lineup.
