Denisenko signed a two-year contract in July of 2023, but that didn't prevent the Golden Knights from sending him to the minors last season, where he had 20 goals and 56 points in 65 AHL games. Denisenko was selected 15th overall in 2018 by the Panthers, but he has not lived up to expectations, as the 24-year-old has yet to score in 32 career NHL games over a span of four seasons. Denisenko will battle for a bottom-six role with the Golden Knights in training camp, but he needs to play in a top-nine role for Vegas to benefit from his offensive talent.
