2025 Fantasy Outlook
After he shot 20 percent in 2023-24, it's not a massive surprise that Hoglander was hit hard by regression. His ice time was steady at 12:08 per game, but the winger struggled with both individual and team regression in 2024-25, dropping from 24 goals and 36 points in 2023-24 to eight goals and 25 points over 72 appearances last year. Hoglander still got some prime minutes, but the constant shuffle of wingers in and out of the top six did him no favors. Hoglander offers physical upside, but the Canucks' offense is still a question mark for 2025-26 as the team tries to overcome a disappointing campaign. Ideally, Hoglander would settle in around 15-20 goals and 30-40 points, but the 24-year-old will need to round out his game to stay in the top six regularly. Read Past Outlooks
Won't return before Olympic break
Head coach Adam Foote said Monday that Hoglander (lower body) has been ruled out through the Olympic break.
ANALYSIS
Hoglander suffered a lower-body injury during last Tuesday's loss to the Sharks and was unavailable for the past two games. He's been ruled out for Monday's game against Utah and Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights, and he'll have time to recover during the league's multi-week layoff for the Olympics. Hoglander was recently labeled as day-to-day, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in action when the Canucks resume play in late February.

Hoglander had a career year offensively in 2023-24, registering 24 goals and 36 points in 80 regular-season contests. He also compiled 120 shots on net and 100 hits. Hoglander didn't record any power-play points and averaged just 12:06 of ice time per contest but capitalized on his playing time in Vancouver's top six. Hoglander ranked second on the team in even-strength goals and seventh in even-strength points. He would benefit from more time on the man advantage, but his opportunities may be limited again in the upcoming campaign. The 23-year-old winger could still push for 40 points in 2024-25 if he continues to see most of his playing time with either J.T. Miller or Elias Pettersson.
