Finished late in home country
Szalay lost to Keiichiro Nakamura via TKO (strikes) at 3:48 of Round 3 at UFC 325 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
What a disaster. Up two rounds on all three scorecards, Szalay was a minute-plus from winning a decision and earning a UFC contract in the process. Not only was he winning, but he was doing so convincingly. Szalay won the significant strike battle by a 79-45 count, in addition to landing the only takedown of the fight. Unfortunately, he was unable to survive what ended up being the only real threat of the bout from Nakamura. Perhaps we'll see Szalay again at some point in the future, but it's far from a guarantee.

Szalay will take on Keiichiro Nakamura in the Road to the UFC 4 Final at featherweight at UFC 325 on Jan. 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Szalay had previously competed in the Australia-based Eternals MMA before winning fights on the show via decision and first-round stoppage. He'll give up four inches in both height and reach to the younger Nakamura.
