Best Bets for Washington Commanders at Green Bay Packers

Best Bets for Commanders-Packers | Commanders +3.5

This one is all about the hook, as I do believe we'll see a very competitive game between these teams. Even though it didn't show in the final score, the Commanders thoroughly dominated the Week 1 matchup against the Giants, outgaining them 432 to 231 in total yards. Some poor clock management at the end of the first half cost the Commanders not only a TD, but also a FG in the closing seconds, and they were driving late but opted to kneel down at the end.

It's very hard to poke holes in the Packers' Week 1 performance against the defending NFC North Champs/1-seed, but it's not hard to imagine a slight letdown spot here. That was an incredibly massive game for Green Bay and adds plenty of optimism to the aspirations it has this season. However, this is a much faster opponent, and the Packers could see a much improved Commanders team tonight.

Best Bets for Commanders-Packers | Over 47.5 (-120)

As mentioned above, the Commanders squandered some opportunities to put even more points on the board, and a short week could be just what this team needs to overcome the minimal Week 1 jitters. In dissecting the 432 total yards Washington gained on Sunday, it was a very balanced attack with 220 yards on the ground and 212 through the air, and there were a few big plays from role players like Jacory Croskey-Merritt (42-yard rush), Chris Moore (38-yard catch) and Noah Brown (18-yard catch.)

The Packers will come with a similar approach, and they'll need to rely on their role players as well in the receiving game. It's worth noting that both teams were outstanding against the run in Week 1, with the Commanders allowing 3.2 yards per carry (8th best) and the Packers allowing 2.3 (2nd best). This should lead to an entertaining shootout between the QBs, leading to more points overall.

Best Bets for Commanders-Packers | Josh Jacobs 2+ Touchdown (+265)

The odds for this prop bet are telling, considering the second-closest player to find paydirt twice is Jayden Daniels at +1300. Jacobs has massive -205 odds to score an anytime TD, so things are looking quite optimistic for the Packers' workhorse. Not to mention, Jacobs even has +350 odds to be first TD scorer, with the next closest (Daniels) coming in at +1000.

Commanders-Packers Picks for September 11

  • Washington Commanders +3.5 (-110)
  • Washington Commanders at Green Bay Packers Over 47.5 Points (-120)
  • Josh Jacobs (GB): 2+ Touchdowns (+265)

Best Events to Use the Fanatics Sportsbook Promo for Thursday, September 11, 2025

  • NFL: Washington Commanders at Green Bay Packers, 8:15 p.m. ET | Big-time battle at Lambeau Field tonight between two of the most exciting young NFC teams. Daniels vs Love at QB, and you can wager on their props tonight.
  • College Football: North Carolina State Wolfpack at Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 7:30 p.m. ET | NC State just played a nail-biter on Saturday at UVA, so you have to wonder how the short week will affect them in this ACC matchup.
  • MLB: Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees, 7:05 p.m. ET | The AL's best record is still up for grabs, and these two teams get one more crack against each other before potentially meeting in the playoffs.
  • MLB: New York Mets at Philadelphia Phillies, 7:15 p.m. ET | We get a battle of southpaws - David Peterson and Jesus Luzardo – in the finale of this four-game series. The Phillies have gained some ground on the Brewers for home field in the NL playoffs, so a win against the hated Mets will keep things rolling in the right direction.
  • WNBA: Golden State Valkyries at Minnesota Lynx, 8 p.m. ET | It's the final night of the WNBA regular season, and a Valkyries' win could keep them out of the eight-seed.
