Giovani Lo Celso Injury: Set to miss time
Lo Celso suffered a moderate proximal myotendinous injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh and is set to miss time on the sidelines, the club announced.
Lo Celso suffered a thigh injury during last week's clash against PAOK in the Europa League and is expected to miss four to eight weeks while recovering, which aligns with the usual timeline for this type of issue. His absence will affect Betis' starting XI, as he has been a regular starter with Isco (ankle) sidelined, opening the door for Pablo Fornals to operate as the number 10. Nelson Deossa is also expected to see an uptick in playing time in the double pivot as the rotation adjusts.
