Ogundu has completed a permanent move from Alanyaspor to FC Augsburg and signed a contract until 2031, his new club announced. "We are delighted that Uchenna has chosen FCA. With his speed, dynamism and ability to make runs in behind, he fits perfectly into our team and brings added variety to our game," says Benni Weber, FCA sporting director.

Ogundu is a fast and versatile attacking player who can operate as a central striker, attacking midfielder, or on either wing. The 19-year-old joined Sanliurfaspor in August 2024 from Nigeria's Diamond Football Academy, where he scored six goals in 19 competitive appearances. He then moved to Alanyaspor ahead of the current season to compete in the Super Lig. Ogundu recorded two goals and two assists in 17 league matches and added one goal in three cup appearances.
