Insigne continues to be a disappointment since joining Toronto in 2022, playing in 23 of 34 games this past season, totaling just nine goal involvements. Health and availability have been the primary cause of frustration for Insigne, though his output when on the field is also extremely uninspiring considering he's the second highest paid player in the league behind Lionel Messi. The attacker tied for the team high with five assists, but his attacking floor saw a dip as he took 16 fewer shots, created 10 fewer chances and crossed seven less times compared to 2023 despite playing in three more matches. Given his first three seasons, Insigne's name holds higher value than his production on the pitch warrants.
