2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Johnson had 53 tackles and two interceptions in 2024, one year removed from a career-high four picks. While his ball production dipped, he remained the Bears' top cover corner and is under contract through 2027. Johnson has just seven interceptions over five seasons but offers a steady tackle floor. He's locked into a starting role and brings stability, though his fantasy upside remains capped. Read Past Outlooks

Expects to practice Tuesday
Johnson (groin) said he expects to practice Tuesday, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson missed all of training camp and the preseason due to a groin injury, but he's hopeful he'll be able to ramp up enough this week in order to play in Monday night's Week 1 opener against the Vikings.

Johnson is an example of a very good player not being a great IDP. Last year, he played extremely well in coverage. As a result, opposing teams often chose to throw passes in the direction of the lesser Chicago cornerbacks. During his four seasons, the Utah product has recorded between 35 and 46 tackles. Even though Johnson intercepted four passes in 2023, the corner has a total of five in his career. Unless he sees a sharp increase in passes thrown his way, he'll remain a low-ceiling IDP.

Remaining in Chicago
The Bears re-signed Johnson to a four-year, $76 million deal with $54 million in guaranteed money on Thursday, Adam Schefter and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
Johnson will get $43.8 million as a signing bonus and draw a 2024 salary of $28 million, according to Schefter's and Fowler's sources.
