2025 Fantasy Outlook
Franklin-Myers was acquired by the Broncos in a trade with the Jets ahead of the 2024 campaign, and the change in scenery led to the best statistical season of his career. The 28-year-old finished the season with 40 tackles (18 solo) and 7.0 sacks, both career highs for the defensive end. Franklin-Myers figures to continue to be a key contributor for Denver's defense in 2025 before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2026. Read Past Outlooks

Franklin-Myers finished the 2024 regular season with 40 tackles (18 solo), including 7.0 sacks, across 17 games.
ANALYSIS
Franklin-Myers was traded by the Jets to the Broncos in late April in what was largely a salary dump for Gang Green. The 2018 fourth-round pick responded with a career-best 7.0 sacks and played a key role in the Broncos' league-leading 63.0 sacks in the regular season. Franklin-Myers, Zach Allen, Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper will look to replicate their success in the 2025 campaign.

Franklin-Myers was traded to Denver this offseason after spending his last four seasons with the Jets. The 2018 fourth-rounder will operate as the Broncos' starting defensive end and should have an immediate impact on the team's pass rush. Franklin-Myers finished his 2023 campaign with 33 total tackles, including 3.5 sacks, across 17 games. The veteran's versatility and durability make him an interesting option in IDP formats.
After posting 35 tackles and 6.0 sacks in 2021, Franklin-Myers recorded similar numbers in 2022, with 38 tackles and 5.0 sacks. The versatile defensive lineman can line up both inside and outside, but after the Jets used first-round picks on defensive ends in each of the past two drafts, JFM will likely find himself playing primarily on the interior of the defensive line at defensive tackle, which will make it tough to significantly improve his sack or tackle totals.
Franklin-Myers is a versatile piece along the defensive line for the Jets, as he's able to play both inside and on the edge. He had 35 tackles and six sacks last season, earning a four-year, $55 million extension from New York. JFM's versatility should allow him to continue playing a three-down role in 2022 as he looks to build on last year's career highs.
Franklin-Myers was good at pressuring the quarterback last season but totaled only three sacks in 15 games as the Jets' secondary failed to hold up behind him. He'll likely run into similar problems this season and will have to battle for playing time along a deep defensive line, but there's more to JFM than immediately meets the eye given his pedestrian stats.

No extension talks with Denver
DEDenver Broncos
August 25, 2025
Franklin-Myers expects to become a free agent after the 2025 season as the Broncos haven't approached him about a contract extension, Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran defensive end is coming off a career-best 2024 campaign in his first season in Denver, recording 7.0 sacks among his 40 tackles in 17 regular-season games. Franklin-Myers would like to stay with the Broncos, but he's prepared to test the market next spring. "I'm here to play football whether they pay me or not,'' Franklin-Myers said. "If not, I'll be a free agent this offseason and my time is going to come."
