2025 Fantasy Outlook
Mitchell made an instant impact after being selected 22nd overall in the 2024 Draft out of Toledo, starting opposite veteran Darius Slay from Week 1 for the eventual Super Bowl champions. Mitchell finished seventh on the Eagles with 46 tackles and tied for second with 12 pass defenses, though he did not record an interception. The performance was enough for him to rank second in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, two spots ahead of teammate Cooper DeJean. Mitchell will start at one of the outside corner spots again for the Eagles this season. Read Past Outlooks
Dynamic in season opener
Mitchell recorded four tackles (three solo), a pass defensed and a fumble recovery during Thursday's 24-20 win versus the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Not only was Mitchell strong in coverage Thursday against a dangerous wide receiver duo, but he also came up with a loose football deep in Philadelphia territory late in the third quarter to help preserve a 24-20 lead. He should play a near-every down role again in Week 2 when the Eagles travel to Kansas City.

The Eagles secondary took a step back last season, so the organization addressed that in the 2024 Draft with Mitchell at 22nd overall and Cooper DeJean with pick 40. Mitchell appears primed to step into a starting role on the outside opposite Darius Slay, though he'll have to beat out James Bradberry for that job. The 6-0, 195-pound corner has 4.33 speed and led a strong Toledo secondary in college, peaking with five interceptions (two pick-sixes) in 2022.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Will be available for title clash
Mitchell, who exited the divisional-round win over the Rams with a shoulder injury, was able to practice every day this week and carries no injury designation for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Commanders, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie first-round pick exited against the Rams after just nine snaps. However, after he followed a limited Wednesday session with consecutive full practices to close out the week, there won't be any concerns about Mitchell's availability for Sunday's showdown against Jayden Daniels and the Commanders. Mitchell was a key figure in the wild-card win over the Packers with a career-high-tying six tackles and an interception, and he was a valuable component of an improved Eagles secondary all season.
