2025 Fantasy Outlook
Signed as an undrafted free agent back in 2022, Blankenship now has been a starting safety for the Eagles for two consecutive seasons. A concussion cost him one game, and he sat out the regular-season finale along with many of the team's starters, but in his 15 appearances, he finished third on the team with 78 tackles. He also intercepted four passes, up from three the previous year. He'll fill the same role for the Eagles this season as the team looks to defend its Super Bowl title. Read Past Outlooks
Logs three solo tackles vs. Dallas
Blankenship tallied three solo tackles in Thursday's 24-20 win over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Blankenship joined Zack Baun, Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell as the four Eagles players to play every single defensive snap in Thursday's regular-season opener. Blankenship was flagged for an unnecessary roughness penalty on a late hit on tight end Jake Ferguson late in the third quarter that put the Cowboys in the red zone, but the former was bailed out after Mitchell jumped on a Miles Sanders fumble on the next play. Blankenship should stay busy in the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
After going undrafted in 2022 and not playing a defensive snap until Week 11, Blankenship emerged as a starting safety late in his rookie season and remained in that role throughout his second NFL campaign. Rib injuries caused two separate one-game absences in the first half of the season, but Blankenship finished with 113 tackles (79 solo) and three interceptions in 15 games. He also dealt with a groin issue which caused him to miss the wild-card round and required offseason surgery, but he should reprise his role as the Eagles' starting free safety this season.
