UFC 325: MMA Betting Picks and Odds Insight
Below, I'll share my UFC Vegas 113 predictions, including my favorite pick, an underdog, a prop and a two-fighter parlay. All UFC odds are via the DraftKings Sportsbook and are accurate as of the post date of this article.
Weight Class: Light heavyweight
Dustin Jacoby (21-9-1) vs. Julius Walker (7-1)
Dustin Jacoby was supposed to fight last weekend against Jimmy Crute, but after Crute suffered an injury, the UFC pushed him back a week to fight Julius Walker, who's taking it on short notice.
Jacoby is a fringe top-15 light heavyweight, and this is too much of a step-up in competition for Walker. Jacoby is coming off back-to-back knockout wins over two fighters outside of the top-15. Essentially, when he fights people behind him, he has a lot of success.
I like Jacoby to be able to keep this fight on the feet and land the more damaging shots to win a decision or even a TKO. Regardless, this is a good spot for Jacoby to win, and at a great price.

Weight Class: Strawweight
Bruna Brasil (11-5-1) vs. Ketlen Souza (15-6)
For my underdog pick at UFC Vegas 113, I'm taking Bruna Brasil to defeat Ketlen Souza.
Brasil is coming off a solid win over Shi Ming in her last fight, while Souza has lost back-to-back fights. I'm surprised Souza is the favorite here, as I thought Brasil would be a slight -125 favorite, if not a pick'em.
Both Brasil and Souza always have close fights, and Brasil is the better wrestler. I like Brasil to be able to use her wrestling (and clinch work at times) to win minutes and edge out a very close decision.
In a fight that should be very close and hit the scorecards, I'll take the +124 underdog.

Weight Class: Heavyweight
Jailton Almeida (22-4) vs. Rizvan Kuniev (13-3-1)
For the prop at UFC Vegas 113, I'm taking the heavyweight fight between Jailton Almeida and Rizvan Kuniev to go over 1.5 rounds.
Almeida is a smaller heavyweight who uses his grappling to grind out fights, so when he fights the better heavyweights, he struggles to get finishes. Kuniev, meanwhile, just had a close fight with Curtis Blaydes in which he showed some commendable takedown defense.
Both Almeida and Kuniev are pretty durable, and I expect Almeida to just use his wrestling to extend the fight. Regardless of who wins, I expect this to go into the third round, if not go the distance.
UFC Vegas 113 Bet: Jailton Almeida-Rizvan Kuniev over 1.5 rounds (-130)

Weight Class: Bantamweight
Farid Basharat (14-0) vs. Jean Matsumoto (17-1)
Mario Bautista (16-3) vs. Vinicius Oliveira (23-3)
For my parlay at UFC Vegas 113, I'm taking two bantamweight fights, as I like Farid Basharat and Mario Bautista to get their hands raised Saturday.
Basharat is fighting on the same card as his brother, Javid, but Farid is the better one. This is a great matchup for him to use his wrestling to control Mastumoto to grind out a decision win. Basharat is a super well-rounded fighter, and this is a fitting matchup for him to get the win and continue to enter the title talks.
To close out the parlay, I like Mario Bautista to beat Vinicius Oliveira in the main event. Oliveira is undefeated in the UFC, but this is a major step up for the Brazilian. If Oliveira doesn't get an early finish, I expect Bautista to take over in the later rounds en route to a decision, if not a late finish.
