2025 Fantasy Outlook
Mac Allister thrived in new boss Arne Slot's system, forming one of the best midfields in the league on the way to the title. While his offensive production wasn't improved from the final season under Jurgen Klopp (five goals, five assists), the way those goal contributions came was different. Instead of getting run in attacking midfield, Mac Allister was a consistent defensive midfielder alongside Ryan Gravenberch. Mac Allister also took on a larger role on set pieces under Slot, something that could continue with the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Trained fully this week
Mac Allister (undisclosed) has trained fully this week and should be an option for Sunday's clash against Arsenal, coach Arne Slot said in the press conference. "Mac Allister has also started training again so I don't think we had any injuries coming out of that game [at Newcastle]."

Suffers issue in training
Mac Allister suffered an issue in training in recent days which ultimately made him miss Monday's 3-2 victory against Newcastle, although he will hope to be available for Sunday's clash against Arsenal, coach Arne Slot said in a press conference, according to the Liverpool Echo. "We are hoping, yeah. He had to leave the training pitch two days ago. And that would not have been the biggest problem if he had a proper pre-season... I am hoping things improve in the next one or two days so he is available for Sunday."

Can't play full game yet
Mac Allister made his return from injury last Wednesday in a pre season friendly but still does not have a full game in his legs, coach Arne Slot said in a press conference. "He will be in the squad [on Sunday]. He was out for two months I think, or longer because we did not play him in the last four games of the season. He trained with us for a week now, played 30 minutes, 45 minutes. So that is not a situation where you would start a player [and] play him for 90 minutes. Starting is possible but definitely not for 90 minutes."
