2025 Fantasy Outlook
Onana recorded nine clean sheets in the 2024/25 season, equaling the same number he had in 2023/24 despite playing four fewer matches. Still, he had a disappointing season by most metrics. Not only did Onana give up 44 goals while making 90 saves, but he committed costly mistakes time and time again, and didn't deliver a much-needed sense of security between the posts in a struggling defensive line. Onana figures to remain the starter for the 2025/26 campaign, but after back-to-back woeful seasons filled with mistakes, it's hard to trust Onana as a reliable goalkeeping option. He shouldn't be drafted as one of the first goalkeepers off the board, but if you're scrambling in mid-to-late rounds, Onana could be a decent alternative. A reason to back him is that United could get better with a healthier back line and that leads to 10-plus clean sheets.

Dreadful in Carabao Cup
Onana got the start during Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash with Grimsby Town.
ANALYSIS
Onana made his return to the starting XI in cup action after Altay Bayindir got the start in the first two matches of the Premier League season. Onana did nothing to show he needs a larger role, letting in two soft goals in the first half. With Senne Lammens heavily linked to United Onana's time at the club could be ending, as he seems set to tumble down the depth chart.
