Bernardo Silva
31-Year-Old
Manchester City
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Silva has often been in rumors to leave City, but his versatility and overall health continue to be important for Pep Guardiola, starting 29 of 33 league appearances last season en route to four goals and four assists. However, with him seeing more time centrally and defensively instead of his normal attacking roles, his eight goal contributions were his worst in a season since joining the club in 2017. This is a bit of a worry entering the season considering the bevy of attacking options at City's disposal. Then again, Silva can play anywhere and technically he can also produce from anywhere. Yet, at 31 years old to open the season, his numbers will start to drop at some point, no matter how important he's been for Guardiola.
Assists versus Spurs
Silva assisted once to go with five crosses (two accurate) and three chances created in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
ANALYSIS
Silva recorded another assist Sunday, this time on Antoine Semenyo's strike in the 44th minute. It marked his fourth assist of the season, two of which have come in his last two matches. He contributed on the defensive end too, recording one tackle, one interception and one clearance before subbing off the pitch in the 88th minute for Phil Foden.
