Marcos Alonso

Alonso made himself a mainstay following the transfer from Barcelona, starting in 29 of his 31 appearances, a role he should replicate this campaign. He has adapted to more of a role in central defense after years on the flank, which has hindered his chances moving forward, although he still earned three goals last season. That said, he will see most of his points through the defense, earning 34 interceptions, 35 tackles (21 won) and seven clean sheets last campaign. The main thing that could hurt the defender is his team, with Celta giving up the fourth most goals in the league last season, meaning clean sheets will be at a premium.
