Mir (hamstring) is still not an option for Elche despite resuming team training in recent weeks, coach Eder Sarabia said in the press conference, according to Pasion Franjiverde.

Mir has been back in team training since a few weeks but didn't fully recover yet from the hamstring injury that sidelined him since early January. The striker will hope to recover ahead of next week's fixture since he was an undisputed starter in the frontline for the Franjiverdes prior to the setback, therefore his absence forces changes in the frontline, with Alvaro Rodriguez dealing with a larger role while he is out.

The 24-year-old has made just four appearances for the Black Country club since joining from Valencia in 2018 and has been sent out on loan three times. He's expected to be loaned out once again but Barcelona might not be the best destination for him considering he'd have to compete for minutes against names such as Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero and Antoine Griezmann, just to name a few.
