Noor Ahmad (AFG)
First in the list is Afghanistan's Noor Ahmed. At the age of just 21, the left-arm wrist spinner is already a renowned name in the world of cricket and has featured in all major franchise competitions, such as the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), Big Bash League (BBL), SA 20, Caribbean Premier League (CPL), International League (IL T20) and the Major League Cricket (MLC). Noor currently has 194 T20S under his belt, with 229 wickets to his name. At the international level, however, Noor has limited experience, having played just 24 matches for the national team, during which he claimed 20 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 7.12. With another spin maestro, Rashid Khan, leading the side, Noor will be eager to shine at the global stage and produce performances that will be remembered for a long time.
Dewald Brevis (SA)
Second in the list features South Africa's explosive batter Dewald Brevis. The right-hander is regarded as one of the most exciting young batters in the T20 format and is renowned as 'Baby AB de Villiers'. Khawaja Nafay (PAK)
Third in the list features Pakistan's Khawaja Nafay. The right-hander was a surprise pick in the Men-in-Green's squad for the mega-event. Nafay broke onto the scene in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in the 2023 edition and has since played in Pakistan's premier T20 competition, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as well. Recently, Nafay featured in the Abu Dhabi T10 where he was the standout performer for the side with the bat in hand. Nafay has only featured in two T20Is for Pakistan, where he has scored 47 runs with a strike rate of 174. It will be interesting to see what role will be given to the 23-year-old in the upcoming mega event but he is definitely a player to watch out.
Tim Tector (IRE)
Fourth in the list features Ireland's Tim Tector. The 22-year-old has had a great start to his T20 career. In just 44 matches, Tector scored more than 1,200 runs with an average of 36.55 with a stunning strike rate of 153.26, which included one century and nine half-centuries. With Paul Stirling struggling to perform consistently at the highest level, Tector might well be the answer for Ireland's batting problems at the mega-event.
Brian Bennett (ZIM)
Fifth in the list features Zimbabwe's all-rounder Brian Bennett. The 22-year-old, who is best known for his batting, has had a very good career in the T20 format, where he has already scored more than 1,500 runs in 52 innings with an average of 31.92 and a more than respectable strike rate of 145.48. Captain Sikandar Raza will be hoping that Bennette will be able to produce similar performances with the bat at the biggest stage of all, which will reduce the burden on him as well.
