Damien Martinez

Discussed as a potential mid-round pick throughout winter and spring, Martinez instead fell to the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft before the Seahawks took him at No. 223 overall. It's a poor landing spot to earn rookie-year playing time, as Martinez is highly unlikely to eclipse Kenneth Walker or Zach Charbonnet on the depth chart and faces a challenge to even unseat Kenny McIntosh from the No. 3 role. That said, Martinez has above-average speed (4.51 40) for a big back (6-foot, 217), and his college production was highly encouraging -- three consecutive seasons with at least 161 carries, 982 rushing yards and 6.1 YPC for Oregon State and then Miami. He's also just 21, making him an interesting developmental prospect for 2026 and beyond despite being a seventh-round pick. Read Past Outlooks
