2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a solid 2023 season, Strong's numbers took a step backward along with the rest of the Browns' offense last year, even before he finished the campaign on IR due to a concussion. The 26-year-old saw double-digit touches in a game only once, and he barely got work on offense when both Jerome Ford and Nick Chubb were healthy. Chubb wasn't re-signed, but Cleveland instead used a second-round pick on Quinshon Judkins to push Ford for the starting job, and a fourth-round pick on Dylan Sampson for additional depth. There may not be many backfield snaps left over for Strong. Read Past Outlooks

Let go from IR
The Browns waived Strong (concussion) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Strong was set to miss the entire 2025 season after reverting to the Browns' IR, but the injury settlement will allow him to sign with another team once he clears the league's five-step concussion protocol. The 2022 fourth-rounder appeared in 14 regular-season games for the Browns last year and logged 26 carries for 108 yards and 14 catches (on 22 targets) for 104 yards.

Drafted by the Patriots in 2022, Strong barely saw the field in his first two seasons. A trade to the Browns at the end of camp last year gave him a fresh start, and the South Dakota State product spotted in and out of the Cleveland offense the rest of the way after Nick Chubb was lost for the season in Week 1. Strong is capable of breaking off chunk plays with his open-field elusiveness, but Chubb will be back in 2024, backed up by Jerome Ford and D'Onta Foreman. There's no clear path to a regular role for Strong.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Might be battling for roster spot
Strong may be competing with free-agent signing D'Onta Foreman in training camp for a roster spot, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
The Browns backfield is crowded, with Jerome Ford, Nick Chubb and Nyheim Hines all locked into spots if they are healthy. There's no guarantee either of the latter two will be, however, as they are both recovering from knee surgeries. In the event all three are ready by Week 1, Strong and Foreman will be battling for the final roster spot. Strong is younger and offers special-teams value, which could give him an edge in that fight, but Cleveland presumably signed Foreman for a reason.
