Welbeck showed no signs of slowing. From 30 appearances (24 starts), he scored 10 (a team-best) and created four assists, a big improvement over the five goals he netted in 2023/24. Despite such a strong campaign it's likely his role dwindles as only injuries saw him take on such a large workload. He's not getting any younger and at the very least Brighton will want to spread out the striking workload. Welbeck is likely to hang out anywhere from 1,200-1,800 minutes and a handful of goals, it would be a surprise if he pushes for double-digits once more.

It was a solid campaign throughout, as Welbeck proved himself a consistent option yet again. Welbeck is likely to remain a consistent choice next season, though it's entirely possible he falls back to closer to 1,600 minutes as he has during most of his time with Brighton.
