Jurrien Timber
24-Year-Old
Arsenal
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Timber is a versatile defender who opened the season at left-back but finished as the top choice at right-back due to other injuries in the squad. He's not a major offensive threat with one goal and three assists in 30 appearances, though he does offer more from right-back where he produced all of those goal contributions playing behind Bukayo Saka. With a full season at right-back he has a path to a handful of goal contributions in addition to defensive upside, as Arsenal finished second in clean sheets in the Premier League last season. Timber's ability to play on either side of the back line should keep him in the XI as long as he remains fit, something worth following as he finished the 2024/25 campaign early to undergo ankle surgery.
Struggles in service
Timber generated one shot (zero on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 4-0 victory against Leeds United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 59th minute.
ANALYSIS
The defender didn't provide much efficiency, with only one of his crosses being deemed accurate. Perhaps he was still working through an injury but the good news is he won't have to worry too much about covering defensively against Sunderland. The side has just 24 goals scored in 23 EPL games.
