2025 Fantasy Outlook
Saliba is the rock in the Arsenal back line, and led them to another title challenge that came up short in the 2024/25 campaign. He started 35 league matches, being dropped for two different hamstring injuries and then a red card. The center-back is one of the best in the world and is an irreplaceable part of the starting XI. He's a major producer in every defensive category and has helped Arsenal to finish among the top two in clean sheets in each season since he joined. As long as he can stay healthy, Mikel Arteta will be fine pushing Saliba to 38 starts, which is more than you can say about other Arsenal defenders.
Suffers ankle injury

Saliba has twisted his ankle during the warmups of Sunday's 1-0 loss against Liverpool and will miss the international break with France to recover, coach Mikel Arteta confirmed the issue in a press conference. "He twisted his ankle during the warm-up, and he came in and he said he believed that he could carry on and play, but straight away in the first two actions. I could see that he couldn't cope, and we had to get him out unfortunately. But thank God we had Mosquera, which we put in for the first time in the Premier League. His debut, not expecting it at Anfield, and I think he was really, really good. I am [worried] because you cannot play a game of that stature. After you tried [to], that means that there is something wrong."
ANALYSIS
Saliba was forced off early in Sunday's clash against the Reds after attempting to play despite suffering an ankle twist during the warmup. The injury appears serious since he wanted to try to play but ultimately could not continue. The center-back will miss international duty with France as he has already been replaced by Benjamin Pavard in the squad and will hope to use the break to rest and recover before the Gunners' next fixture against Nottingham Forest on Sept. 13. That said, if he has to miss additional time, Cristhian Mosquera will likely replace him in the backline until he returns fit.
